Lander Rotary has, for many years, sponsored young Mexican students in a program called "CANYON SCHOLARS".  Every year these students write a letter to Lander Rotary club thanking us for the financial  assistance that we provide and include a copy of their grades.  In addition, the Canyon Scholars organization sends along a brief letter about the sponsored student.

The term "Canyon Scholars" comes from the location of the program: Copper Canyon in the State of Chihuahua in north- western Mexico.
This year we are again sponsoring four young people in this program.
The information contained in this story is about one of the four Canyon Scholars that we assist.
