Nurses' Training in Rwanda

Lander Rotarian Maria Kidner led a conference in February 2023 to train nurses in Rwanda to diagnose and treat strep throat, which if untreated can lead to fatal rheumatic heart disease. Thirty-one nurses, many of whom work in remote villages, were trained -- and received their first stethoscopes! The project was sponsored by the Lander Rotary Club, other Rotary clubs and numerous individuals in District 5440.
