Shelby Rohrbacher, a mortgage loan officer at Wyoming Community Bank and a Lander Rotarian since 2019, was sworn in as President of the Lander Rotary Club for the 2024-25 Rotary year on June 26.  Mandy Fabel, outgoing president, handed off the President's gavel to Shelby at the annual Gavel Exchange dinner held jointly with the Riverton Rotary Club at the Reach Foundation in Riverton.  The Lander club was well represented by 18 Rotarians and their significant others.

Shelby's history in Rotary started much earlier than 2019, when she joined the club.  As a high school student, she attended District 5440's Rotary Youth Leadership Award Academy (RYLA) and was a member of Interact (Rotary's high school program).  She was a leader in Rotaract (Rotary's program for young adults) while in college. In the last couple of years, she has chaired the club's July 4 Buffalo BBQ event and has served as the club's Membership Chair and interim RYLA/Interact chair.

John Brown will serve as President-elect in 2024-25.  Other officers and directors who were present at the dinner were sworn in: Missy White, George Case, and Jerry Venters.  President Mandy announced that George Case was selected as the 2023-24 Rotarian of the year.  (For more pictures from the event, click on "Gavel Exchange 2024" in the Photo Albums box at right.)
