Pics from some of our meetings in June

Pics from our June 1st meeting (everything we wanted to know about the Rotary District Conference)

Phyllis Muniz introduces the program and gives her take on the Conference

Hart Jacobsen adds to the information about the Conference

Josey Jacobsen presents her views of the Conference from the viewpoint of a Rotary spouse.

Mandy Fabel gave her impression of the Conference from the viewpoint of a new attendee.

And former Rotary Assistant Governor, Manny Muniz,  gave his views of the conference.

Skip introduces his guest, Leland Christiansen, a candidate to fill Wyoming's lone House seat.

Ernie Over introduces his brother Jim.

President Mark Calhoun holds up the poster for the Annual Buffalo BBQ.
Note that for the first year a beer concession will be available!!

This year's Buffalo BBQ Chairwoman is the very capable Mandy Fabel.  Look out here comes the sign-in sheet.

Dominick Weigel looks over list of assignments for the BBQ before signing up for his position.

Carol Chidsey has a good laugh at something Skip Hornecker had to say.

It's always good to see Judge Jack Nicholas at the meetings.

Lance Hopkin was the finer and, of course, President Mark had to be there to collect all the money that Lance raised for the club.

Our newest member, Stacey Bennett, looks over the BBQ sign up sheet.  She probably wonders what she has gotten herself into.

Mary Murray and Teresa David look pretty serious about something.

German Exchange Student Max Lachnitt gives his going away message to the club.  We will miss you Max!

And now, more pics, this time from the June 15th meeting

Our newest member, Stacey Bennett, gave her classification talk.  Great job Stacey!

And of course, our BBQ chairwoman, Mandy Fabel sent the sign up sheet around again.

Mike Lilygren encourages the members to contribute to their favorite charities thru the Lander Community Foundation.

A cheerful Christy Stream was Brady Bower's guest.

Immediate Past President, Staci Lancaster displays a banner from the Rotary Club of Towsontowne Maryland.  Staci visited that club while traveling to the East Coast.

And then. since President Mark was off traveling, Staci rang the meeting to order with a very poor substitute for our regular bell.  Seems some of the Riverton Rotarian crowd tried to steal the regular bell and President Mark took it with him on his travels for safekeeping.

Walt Olson seems to be rather pleased with himself...I wonder why.

And Lander Chairwoman of The Rotary International Foundation, Helen Higby explains why Walt should be pleased as she hands him a Paul Harris Pin with a jewel indicating that he has become a Paul Harris Fellow for the second time.

Someone's "bonnet" adorns the serving counter at the meeting.  No one claimed it...however it disappeared at the end of the meeting.

Hart Jacobsen claims it is not his...hmm.

And pics from our June 29th Meeting.  (President Mark Calhoun's swan song)

With a strong hand, President Mark calls his last meeting as President of the Club to order.

Obviously, Julie Calhoun is pretty darned proud of her husband, Mark.  Or.. maybe she is just smiling because she will have him back after his year as President.

Steve Liebzet is the finer.  His subject... of course Steve would pick the theme of speed.

And as Steve brings in the money with his very difficult topic, guess who is there right behind him collecting the funds.

And as we get closer to election day, more and more politicians "just happen to be in the neighborhood" and are invited in for a warm meal and a kind word.

With this being the last meeting before the BIG FOURTH OF JULY BUFFALO BBQ, Mandy Fabel is reading her list and checking it twice to see who has been naughty and who has been nice.  (truth be told, all Lander Rotary members are nice).

Gary Michaud is enjoying himself.

President in waiting, Mike Lilygren is congratulated by Immediate Past President Staci Lancaster and Outgoing President Mark Calhoun.

Mark is joined by Brian Fabel as Mandy Fabel is awarded one of the "Above and Beyond" recognitions.

Mark congratulates The Lander Rotarian of the year, Sarah Hamlin.
You are a great Rotarian Sarah!

Mark and Staci with three of those special Lander Rotarians that were recognized for their service to Rotary.  The three that are pictured are: (l to r) Sarah Hamlin, Lander Rotarian of the Year; Leslie Calkins, "Service above Self" recognition; and Mandy Fabel "Above and Beyond" recognition.

And Mark flashes a great big grin as the New Lander Rotary President, Trey Warren gavels the bell to close the meeting.

Thanks Mark and Julie for a very successful Lander Rotary Year.

Hugs must be catching.  Rotarian Shelli Johnson and her special person, Jerry Johnson get in on the action.
