Annual Fund Foundation Giving Surpasses 68% of Goal!
Our members’ giving to the Annual Fund of The Rotary Foundation has surpassed 68% of our $9,000 goal for this year!  Through January 15, members’ contributions totaled $6,179, or 68.6% of President John Brown’s goal for the 2025-26 Rotary year. “Please keep our goal in mind and continue donating, especially if you haven’t contributed yet this (Rotary) year,” he urges. (This total does not include $850 raised in the Thanksgiving pie auction and miscellaneous contributions from our weekly drawings; those amounts, when submitted to TRF next week, will raise our giving to more than $7,000 for the year.)

At this point, the Lander Club’s Annual Fund giving is $117 per member, versus $92 for the entire District 5440 membership.  The Annual Fund supports more than $100 million in service projects around the globe each year, enabling us to help improve the lives of millions of people and make a difference in the world.

PolioPlus Giving Exceeds Goal...by an eyelash!
And on the PolioPlus front, there is even more encouraging news: We have exceeded our $2,500 annual goal by a mere 75 cents, at $2,500.75!  This amount exceeds our giving for all of the 2024-25 Rotary year, when the total was $2,159.67.  But remember, it costs roughly $3 start-to-finish to immunize just one child against polio, so please keep on giving!

2025 Wild Polio Case Total  39 - Afghanistan 9 - Pakistan 30

Since the start of the polio eradication campaign in 1985:
  • Over 3 billion children Immunized
  • Over $3 billion raised by Rotary for polio eradication
