“Each One, Bring One” is Membership Theme for 2021-22
“No challenge is too big for Rotarians,” President Proclaims

In Rotary Year 2021-22, Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta is urging each Rotarian -- in every corner of the world -- to introduce at least one person to Rotary.  He calls the campaign “Each One, Bring One,” and that will be the theme for the Lander Rotary Club’s membership initiative this Rotary year.

“Imagine the change we, as Rotary members, can have when there are so many more of us!” Mehta wrote in the July issue of Rotary.  “More people to care for others, more people to Serve to Change Lives (the President’s theme this year).” He is a member of the Rotary Club of Calcutta-Mahanagar, West Bengal, India.

President Mehta wants Rotarians to focus especially on empowering girls. “Empowering girls and young women to have greater access to education, better health care, more employment, and equality in all walks of life should be embedded in every Rotary project we launch.  Girls are future leaders, so we must ensure that we help them shape their future.”

Already, the Lander Rotary Club has undertaken several projects at the Fremont County girls group home that will help achieve President Mehta’s goal.

The Membership Committee -- presently consisting of Staci Lancaster, Shelby Rohrbacher, Anita Roman, and Jim Kniola, and with more to come -- will be encouraging all members to bring at least one prospective new member to a club meeting or other function this year.  We added seven net new members last year, and we can do it again this year!
